Lucy + Jorge Orta have unveiled a new commission OrtaWater Plätte Water Filtration Unit for the exhibition Art with Salt and Water, Sudhaus as part of the 2024 European Capital of Culture Bad Ischl Salzkammergut. The sculpture is based on the plätte boat, used historically to transport salt - "white gold" - on the river Traun, recalling the essential aspect of water in industrial processes. The exhibition runs from 20 January - 31 October 2024.
